A Contractor Is Just A 90s Heartthrob With A Hammer

A good contractor is hard to find. But in essence what you're looking for is a young person, ideally with manners. When you're first in touch ask questions like, how many sites are you working on right now? (This will help you gauge if the team will actually show up to your site--especially if your project is small relative to the scale of work they've taken on.) Ask them if they can put you in touch with a residential recommendation. And notice when they first come into your house if they either ask or take off their shoes right away (bonus points if they arrive with their own booties.)
