Bonkers Sugar Cookie Galette

Is it cookie? Is it galette? Is it…cookie pie?? I accidentally made a freaky masterpiece and so can you. I had a leftover disk of sugar cookie dough in the fridge so I rolled it out super thin, and piled about two cups of pitted cherries in the center (use peaches? Ripe plums? FYI I coated the fruit in tapioca starch & about a tablespoon of sugar & lemon zest.) Folded up the edges, brushed some half and half all around, and baked for about 12-18 minutes/until golden. The fruit was still tender, and the doughy center was soppy and sweet. Topped it with a homemade whip cream.
