Author and cook Peter Meehan and his wife Hannah Clark first had these cookies while visiting friends in Anchorage, Alaska (aka: AK Cookie.) This cookie reps a kind of “crunchy granola” identity: roughly chopped dark chocolate or semisweet chips, coconut, walnuts and oats. This is a forgiving recipe to make an impressive chocolate chip cookie.
